Y4 (Skiffs)

Welcome Skiffs! We hope everyone had a lovely summer. It’s nice to see everyone back and ready for Year 4.

PE kits need to be brought in for Monday.

Swimming Kits need to be brought in Tuesday.

Book bags need to be brought in for Monday.

If your child is still reading their book, please still bring it in so we can check their progress and they can then take it home again.

This half term, children are still working on their targets that were sent home with their reports. If you are unsure of their target, please contact the office to find out.

Topics - Summer 1
Maths - Rounding decimal numbers to the nearest whole number, adding and subtracting fractions with the same denominator and finding equivalent fractions.

Properties of 2D shapes, such as interior angles, and classifying shapes into regular and irregular polygons.

Literacy - Newspapers, Adverts and Narrtives. Expanded Noun Phrases, Apostrophes, Fronted Adverbials, Direct Speech and Descritive Langauge. We are focusing on the theme of The Stuarts, looking at key points in history.
