As promised, here is the latest news for Monday 8th of March.
Please make sure you read it all (not just my first sentence!) and I hope I have included all you need to know. Opening Day is finally here!
We will be using the same gates as the Autumn Term so KS1 and FS will come in via the BEVINGTON STREET gate and KS2 will use the JANEWAY STREET gate.
BUT you need to be on time – here is a reminder:
COMING INTO SCHOOL
|FERRIES, ROWBOATS, SUBMARINES||9.00 – 9.10|
|RAFTS, KAYAKS, LIFEBOATS||9.15 – 9.25|
|YACHTS, SPEEDBOATS, DHOWS||9.00 – 9.10|
|LIGHTSHIPS, CLIPPERS, SKIPJACKS, CANOES||9.15 – 9.25|
If your child arrives after their allocated time, they will be asked to wait until all other groups have entered.
|12.00 (garden gate)
3.00 – 3.10
|RAFTS, KAYAKS, LIFEBOATS||3.15 – 3.25|
|YACHTS, SPEEDBOATS, DHOWS||3.00 – 3.10|
|LIGHTSHIPS, CLIPPERS, SKIPJACKS, CANOES||3.15 – 3.25|
If you are late collecting your child you will need to wait until all other groups have left and may be charged.
The Bevington Street Road Closure will be back in operation to help with social distancing and making it safe to cross. Please cross the road within the barriers and use the road to socially distance.
We are asking all adults to wear a face mask outside the school gates when escorting your child to/from school. Staff will be wearing a mask when not on the school premises and in some communal areas of the school. Primary aged children are not required to wear a face mask.
Attendance from 8th March is compulsory and the usual attendance procedures need to be followed. Please remember to email all attendance information to firstname.lastname@example.org.
However, we must be vigilant, and so please do not send your child to school with a cough, temperature or loss of taste/smell and ensure you get a test as soon as possible (there is a new testing site at London Bridge by Guys Hospital). There may be times when we will need to call you and ask for your child to be collected – sometimes it may not be COVID but I hope you understand that we need to do as much as we can to remain open.
Your child does not need to bring their laptop with them on 8th March. Your child’s class teacher will tell you which days they are needed in school. They will be able to be at home most of the time for your child to continue to use Mathletics and Readiwriter and if they are required to isolate.
BREAKFAST CLUB AND PLAY CENTRE
Breakfast Club and Play Centre will be in operation but with limited numbers. Jose has emailed every one who has a place so if you do not have an email please do not assume your child can attend. Please remember that these services should only be requested if parents must attend their place of work – your co-operation is appreciated and essential.
Any further information that may be required will be posted as soon as we know, so continue to check this website regularly.
Finally, please keep the cheering to a minimum so as not to annoy the neighbours and enjoy that first morning’s coffee in relative peace and tranquility!
